Tif Ng: Pointing to Wonder

April 20th - May 6th

Gymnasium is pleased to present Tif Ng: Pointing to Wonder, the artist's first solo exhibition in New York. Tiffany Ng (b. 1996) is a Chinese-American photographer, born in San Francisco and raised in Hong Kong and Beijing. She received a BFA in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design. Ng traces her family's archive of photography, ephemera, and memorabilia, which she found in part hidden beneath the bed of her maternal grandmother, and in her paternal grandmother's kitchen storage. She examines familial history and the fabrication of memory and persona in her archival research and contemporary image-making.

Opening reception with live music from Nathaniel Oliver on April 20th, 7pm

Artist talk and closing night on Monday, May 6th, 7pm
